Dream Gifts 2025

This past Saturday (12/20/25), Brazoria County Dream Center hosted its annual Dream Gifts toy drive distribution. The event brings together hundreds of supporters from across the community to provide toys for local children in need. Families pre-register, and, after hundreds of hours of preparation, 540 families received toys through the program.

Dream Gifts started 15 years ago in 2010 with 57 kids. This year, 1,383 children received toys, which means they will have a brighter and more cheerful Christmas morning thanks to the hard work of many volunteers and donors. Over 240 volunteers representing dozens of local companies, from the biggest corporations in Brazoria County to small businesses and individuals, stepped up to tirelessly ensure the toy drive was a success. Texas Angels BBQ Cookoff donated a generous amount of toys to the Dream Gifts program. Their support made a huge difference in providing not just one toy, but multiple for each child. The Dream Center also received toys from over a dozen additional toy drives from organizations throughout Brazoria County.

Dream Gifts also distributed 470 bicycles this year, thanks to businesses who sponsored and built bikes for distribution. Another part of the program was family adoptions (63 families, 150 children) who received toys directly from sponsors.

There are a handful of volunteers who take time off work all week to help organize this event. Those volunteers are crucial to ensuring everything runs smoothly, and their dedication is deep. The Dream Center is only able to put this program on because of the support of all the volunteers and sponsors, and their work has a lasting and far-reaching impact. Dream Gifts reflects the best of the Christmas season: people stepping up to directly renew hope in their neighbors lives. That’s what Brazoria County represents, and this year, our community is a little brighter because of it. â€‹â€‹â€‹
